In the middle of a great spectacle

The opener here in Brussels has been a giant spectacle, and an experience which I will never forget. The first stage in front of a million fans was simply grandiose. And in the team time trial yesterday we rode through a 30 kilometer long tunnel of fans. That motivates tremendously.

We finished twelfth, at 46 seconds down. The results were in order. Of course it could have been better, but the important thing was to not lose too much time in the GC and that worked out well. But now Team Jumbo-Visma is already way ahead. Tony and his team rode a brutally strong time trial. Congratulations!

Today we leave Belgium on our way into France and in the Champagne region, four climbs are waiting for us... I am ready! Yours, Maximilian.
